File Upload to Remote Server

I am dealing with 2 sites. One is where people view the files. This site
is on the INTERnet. The other site is where admins upload the files and
this site is on our INTRAnet. I am trying to upload something from the
intranet site to the internet site. Does anyone have an example or advice
on uploading to remote servers and passing authentication?
