filtering out pod documentation and printing only the code from a file

folks,

does anyone know how to get the pod-documentation filtered out and
print
just the perl code? the perl interpreter must be doing this and it
shouldn't
be difficult - but just that i don't know how to do it

i want to put pod directives in non-perl file for documentation
purpose.
has anyone done this sort of stuff before?
