Hi All
I have a java appliation and I want to provide clickable link
functionality. Something in where a user clicks a link and the default
application associated with the file name (in the link) is opened.
For example clicking a url opens the default browser, same for email
and other urls. I will also like to extend this to other files, for
example clicking test.mp3 opens winamp/quicktime or WM depending on the
file association. Obviously I am looking for a platform independent
solution. One such API is JNLP, but I think its features are limited to
browser alone.
Any pointers, comments?
