form - check for identical values (password / email)

hello,

i have to check in a form the corect input for email and password.
What is the best nethod to realize this .Net 1.1 / .Net 2.0

I want that the user have to enter this values - in a textbox
2 X for eMail
2 x password.
What i want is that the user enter the password for example in two texboxes
- and this values must match.
Sure that i can verify in codebehind if the values are the same - but exist
it a better way - which works also on client side, or a special custom
control ...../ validator ...
