advertise his site, and may have no commercial interest.

Spammers don't see responses. I saw that article in numerous
newsgroups; do you think the spammer follows comp.lang.c? Do you
think spammers don't already know that they're almost universally
despised? (It's the "almost", and the fact that spamming is so cheap
that might make spamming profitable.)

You have spouted some nonsense before but justifying reposting SPAM is
quite incredible. Do you honestly think for one minute any spammer gives
a flying duck about YOU think? Give me a break. Does your ego have NO
bounds?

Replying to SPAM just brings it OUT of filters for many of us and we,
thanks to you and your incompetence, end up reading it after all. Do not
reply to SPAM. I am amazed that someone like you who spends so long net
nannying people can be so clueless about the basics.

them or not? Do you really believe that the average spammer even reads
responses, let alone cares about them?

I understand that the vast majority of spammers actually employ
so-called botnets, distributed over thousands of hijacked Windows
machines. The scale of their activities is such that they probably
neither have time for nor care about checking their results.
