I'd also like to do similar

include a google spreadsheet in a web page and have the top rows frozen as column headings.

frozen rows im the priginal spreadsheet have no effect because thewhole spreadsheet is shown im the webage.
I think this could be achieved if the spreadsheet scroll bar was included as an option in the URL in the same way that you can add
?mode=AGENDA
