Get description about a DB table

With my servlet and jdbc I connect to a DB2 database.
On that AS400 DB, many programs write and read data.
With my jdbc I'd like reading the description associated
to a table.
For example: tblCustomer ---> Table of customer

Is it possible to read "Table of customer"?
How?
