Getting error 2755 when trying to deploy an ASP.NET 1.1 app

I am attempting to install an ASP.NET 1.1 app onto a Windows 2000 Server,
for testing. (This ASP.NET app is about 2 years old and we've installed it
on a production server successfully those 2 years.) I choose to use a
deployment project for the app 2 years ago, in part because it includes
Crystal Reports, and I had no idea how I could include that by any other
means. (There were other reasons for my choosing a deployment project for
this ASP.NET app, but I won't go into them here.)

Anyway, after I built the deployment project, which automatically builds the
ASP.NET project in VS .NET 2003, it went to install it onto the server. I
got the following error message:

"The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package.
This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2755."

I have never seen this problem before and I just don't know what to do now,
so help!

I discovered what the problem was, and it certainly isn't anything that
would have been obvious to me. I Google'd USENET and found that some people
experienced the same problem installing other programs, if the device they
were installing from was "remote" in some fashion or other. I was
attempting to install the .MSI from off of a network share. Well, that
particular network share is on an old server. I copied the .MSI to the
server's local HD and then installed it, and it went on just fine.

WOW, that's one for the books.
