I am finding this difficult to learn. I have read the book "XSLT and
XPATH a guide to xml transforms". I am currently reading XML design
handbook.

I have read the w3schools tutorials.
The tutorials are great for learning how to do simple things.

Is there a website or book that could be recommended that has lots of
examples some of which are not trivial.

Have you already read the XSLT cookbook?
