Google, php and https

I have noticed that Google seems to have given a lower rank to the website
https://www.scaiecat-spa-gigi.com
since I began using the https protocol and php.
At the same time I have noticed that Google can index both because there are
some pages which have been indexed which are accessible over https and
have a php extension.
Does Google not like https and/or php?

alt.internet.search-engine would definitely provide you with an answer to
this question which is off-topic for alt.html. SEO and design are separate
in my opinion.

Thank you very much for your answer.
I posted it to the NG which you mentioned.

It is generally accepted in this group that "pretty much any web-related
discussion is on topic here", although it is agreed that some subjects may
receive more authoratitive replies in a specialised group. More info here:

While we are on the subject of how to post, it is usually appreciated if you
snip the OP's sig from your reply ;-)

Cheers,

It would help if Luigi was using a valid sig; then a decent news client
would auto-snip it and it wouldn't have to be manually removed.

Looks like a valid sig separator to me ("-- ") in Luigi's original post. And
Quotefix snipped the sig when I did a test "reply to group" on his OP.

Even so, I'm not sure manually deleting sigs is particularly hard work! Of
course, Roy could have simply forgotten to snip it. ;-)

I was just about to say that before glancing at Blinky's post.

Regarding on- and off-topic, I was perhaps exaggerating a bit. I was trying
to be helpful to Luigi and perhaps I was. Have a look at
alt.internet.search-engines and you will see that he gets dozens of useful
replies and a lively discussion takes place.

You were right to suggest another group where they may be more generalised
expertise in the subject, and maybe a little overzealous with the
"off-topic" bit? ;-) But definately useful to the OP to point him to the
group you suggested as you mention below.

This is fairly lively... :)

The one in question is lacking the space after the two hyphens.
