GridViewUpdateEventArgs dosen't include OldValues or NewValues

Discussion in 'ASP .Net' started by Steve Kershaw, Sep 25, 2007.

  1. I'm using the RowUpdating event and the GridViewUpdateEventArgs
    Dictionary value. When I step through the code I find that I don't
    have any OldValues or NewValues in this value.

    I set the GridView.EditIndex to the GridViewEditEventArgs in the
    RowEditing event. So it's pointing to the correct row:

    protected void GridView1_RowEditing(object sender,
    GridViewEditEventArgs e)
    {
    GridView1.EditIndex = e.NewEditIndex;
    }

    It must be something fundimental I'm doing wrong! But what?!

    Any ideas?

    Steve
