After I've downloaded jedit.jar and unzipped it, I got bunch of files.
I do have java compiler somewhere... um.. so, am I suppose to compile
    install.class using java compiler?

You posted a java question to a javascript group, you an unnecessarily
long file listing, and you apparently didn't see the 1st hit on Google
when searching for "install jedit how", which I inlude here (hint hint):

    jEdit Installation
.... Search. Focus on Java jEdit Installation. Download
and Install jEdit. Related Resources. ...
    java.about.com/library/weekly/aa_jedit_inst.htm

The download instructions look clear and even have graphics! It's
    creative excuse time. <g>

This is an HTML group, not a Javascript group. Hence the name, alt.html.
    :)

Darn, I hate when I do that. I see java questions in the javascript
newsgroup all the time and _ass_umed I was there. I guess the OP will
get a chuckle out of that one.

Well, thanks. I found out about jedit in this newsgroup. Someone here
recommended it for writing HTML with it.

    I guess that wasn't too creative. <shrug>

That's okay, I didn't even know which group I was in.
