How fill with gradient?

I have a webform where I would like to have the background color for the
webform be a gradient in blue. How do I do this? What is the easiest way?
What is the way most used by other developers? Do you draw it with code or
attach a .gif file as a background or what? Does one way or the other have
an effect on speed?

Thank You

I would say go into graphics editor of your choice and make a
gradient--assuming left to right gradient as you would like and size it 1
pixel high 1500 wide--to cover any size monitor. Then make that the
background image.
the browser will repeat this very small jpg or gif and it will be very fast
and accomplish what you want.

Well, I would like to avoid getting into drawing my own. I was hoping there
might already be some .gif files made like you describe. I am looking for
something simple like a gradient from light blue to dark blue.

I have done some searching on my own hard drive and have come up with some
gradient .gif files but when I use them as a background I am not getting the
effect I'm looking for. They seem to be repeating, by default. Is there
some way to turn of repeating and simply make the .gif fill the screen?

I have a book that tells me how to draw a gradient in a Winform using code.
I have used the code and it works in a winform but does not seem to work in
a Webform.

Anyone have a solution or know where I can find a gradient already made that
is 1 pixel high and 1500 wide?

Well, I would like to have the web site look reasonable to someone who is
not using IE. Any other suggestions?

Search the web for background images I guess.
If you don' t want to make your own you will need to find someone elses.
There are plenty on the internet.
