How to control version of OS

    How to control version of OS E.g., if is Perl script run on Windows XP ,
    Windows 98 etc.?

    I have no idea how you would "control" what operating system the user
    is currently running.

    If you would like to *determine* what operating system the user is
    running, you might want to look at the $^O variable, as documented in
    perldoc perlvar

    You might also be interested in the Win32::MachineInfo module,
    available at
    http://search.cpan.org/~jmacfarla/Win32-MachineInfo-0.05/MachineInfo.pm
