How to enable Digest Authentication IIS5.1 - Win XP

Hi,

The operating sys is Windows XP and the IIS version is 5.1
For my application, I want to enable the Digest Authentication.

But under the Directory Security tab, this checkbox for enabling the digest authentication is greyed out. I can neither enable it or disable it.

Please let me know what could be wrong or what needs to be done to fix this.
