how to test get_special_folder_path()?

Discussion in 'Python' started by Philip Semanchuk, Sep 29, 2010.

  1. Hi all,
    The documentation for get_special_folder_path() and friends says that they're "available as additional built-in functions in the installation script".
    http://docs.python.org/distutils/builtdist.html#the-postinstallation-script

    Does anyone know of a way to play around with these functions outside of a post-install script? It's time-consuming to install something just to experiment with a single function.

    Thanks
    Philip
