html mail form feasible?

I thought I would drop this question here for some answers. It seems like a
good idea to have a customer fill out a html email form to order specifics.
Then the email could be sent to my email address. The multi browser problem
shouldn't be much of a problem since it is going to one address all of the
time.

There are security issues, I guess, that could enter the app question. If
it were coded within a SSL site, would this be alright?

It would be easy to access the email every day rather than going into the
database administrator every day.

No. The data would be transfered between the client's browser and the server
securely, but then the email would be sent insecurely. You would have to do
something about encrypting the email too.
