HTML Stripped from page

I'm probably in the wrong group here but here is my question.
A page on my website has had part of the HTML code stripped out and I'm
wondering how this could have occured.
I was able to retrieve a backed up copy of the page and restore it just fine.

I also noticed dates and times on some of the other HTML files on my website
had been modified, but I didn't make any changes on those days.

Any ideas or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
