HttpModule functionality in ASP.NET 2.0

I have a working HttpModule in ASP.NET 1.1 which was being used for
authenticating the received user request. I have migrated this to ASP.NET 2.0
and was not able to parse the parameters specified in the input request.
Sample HTTP request that is used in my application:
http://localhost/TestWeb/GetData.sync?USER_NAME=userid&PASSWORD=pwd&REQUEST=3.

The parameter data is sent through the HTTP Post and the above string is
only used for internal development/testing.

Any ideas or suggestions are highly appreciated.
