Please help, I cant remember the commandline argument that starts a
gui application for setting preferences on which jvm, windows should
try first. I hope someone out there can remember and will kindly
remind me.

Also I wanted to be able to install multiple jvm's and only set one as
default. This is because I have the dredded hotspot and vitual machine
errors. Any ideas how to do this?

thanks in advance Stephanie

Excuse me? You should elaborate on your post. What OS are you using? What
do you mean by "windows should try first"? What are you trying to do?

Hi David thanks for your reply, I'm running windows 98. I seem to
remember I found a command line instruction that gave me a gui based
java vitual machine setup. It specified which jvm windows should use
first, eg the default classpath jvm or another prefered jvm.

Why I want to repeat this is because I have a java hotspot error while
running a java1.3.0C application. The program runs but then crashes
everytime before the application runs to fully initialized. I read on
some forum that this was a problem with the earlier releases of
java1.3 So I wanted to try later releases to see if I could cure the
hotspot error. As a side possibly someone else know how to cure the
hotspot error?

Please please help, I'm feeling more and more like a dumb blond every
day :)
