Idiot level WebDav tutorial?

I'm trying to get a handle on how to use the Jakarta Slide Java client API
and can't find any examples or a tutorial.

Does anybody know of an idiot-level tutorials out there that explain how to
use a WebDAV server?

For instance....
* Connect to a webdav server
* Create a new folder tree
* upload a WORD doc to a folder location
* download content from a folder location
* navigate the folder tree to find all available content
