    How do I stop images moving about the page, until they load? Thank you.

    Include the width and height of the image[1] in the width and height
    attributes of the <img> tag.

    [1] Make sure it is the actual dimensions of the image - if you want it
    to display at a different size, resize the image itself in your
    favourite image editing software.

    Use height and width - this reserves the space for the image.
    In other words, a "placemarker".

    The same process applies to table and td WIDTHs.
