Install j2se sdk and jre

If you install the j2se sdk and jre on a PC with a previous version of j2se,
does the install program deletes the previous versions of j2se or do you have
to into control panel and uninstall the previous version yourself?

I think this is one of those queries where the appropriate answer is:

Just do try it!

PS: You won't destroy anyting either way.
