Is it possible to create stand-alone binaries?

Hi, I'm very new to Java and was wondering if it was possible to create
stand-alone applications with java that include the runtime environment
and other .jars and native libraries included all in one .exe file?

Thanks, and sorry for the post, I'm still getting used to how to get
hold of info and help for Java. Seems daunting at times due to the
vastness of it all.
