isShowing() after show()

    Hi all,
    After i show a dialog, the isShowing() method return false.
    Why?

    the peer object does not get created until addNotify is called.

    addNotify does not get called until you do a setVisible true.

    In other words you have to do initialisation that requires a peer in

    addNotify after it returns from super.addNotify.
