items in aselect change in function on which item is selected in another select: how can i do that?

I have two select (select1 and select2).
in select1 I have items: a,b,c,d
In select2 I should have
items a1,a2,a3 if I chose a in select1,
items b1,b2,b3 if I chose b in select1,
items c1.... if I chose c in selec1,
....

How can I do that?
