It's hard to make a good site

Hi,

As i started i thought in a couple of days, maybe 2 weeks i could
build my first site... All wrong !! first learning CSS took some time,
then i had to learn Gimp... Collecting material, photos, graphics,
fonts, collecting templates, gimp brushs, installing linux to get the
latest version,...meanwhiles i changed my mind 3-4 times about the
site's look. I noticed i never paid really attention to other people's
sites : One need to surf in order to get culture in website
design...and see how much talent is involved. It's a profession, man,
i didn't learn it !

1) Searching days how to make a beautiful, original banner in gimp,
and which make sens (photo or not photo ?)..every thing has to be well
intergrated balanced, that involve much of thinking

2) hate to have more than 1 option, can't decide what to do.

I've been designing websites for over 10 years, and designing software
for over 35 years, and I am still learning, and I am still finding ways
to improve.

Learning is a task that lasts a lifetime.

With all due respect, I would like to mention that unless English
grammar suddenly changed, you cannot use the verb form "look" here - it
would be present tense subjunctive, wouldn't it? I guess you just
accidentally omitted the 3rd person singular suffix "-s" (or the past
tense suffix "-ed").

And you are surely right. The time needed to master those topics surely
looks less than 48 hours, at least to any alt.html regular.

Yes! As in such sentences as "he concealed it lest it look bad" or "I
require that it look good".

You are forgetting the principle of "lectio difficilior potior": it's
much more likely that Travis is deliberately using the subjunctive in a
rare and unusual way here than that he just hit the wrong key.

Yes, certainly he didn't just mistype "it look less" when he really
meant "it took less". ;-)
The best reading is that "say" as peremptory, as in a sentence like "I
say he hang!"

Certainly you didn't really mean '"say" is peremptory' or '"say" was
peremptory'. ;-)
