Java and reports

Hello everyone

I want to make reports in my program but want to use TeX as an engine.
Is there a way to use it in Java application without having to start a new
process: "tex file.tex" ?
Has anyone encountered a java library which embeds TeX functionality in
Java?

Any help is appreciated.
