im a new guy here at the forum as well as in the java programming, help me out guys i want to learn more about java and am i in the right thread?? one more thing im confused about core java, java swing, advanced java and j2ee, i hope you can help me

Even I am new here. Just start going through some online tutorial with hands on exercises.
Advanced java adds collection, threads, xml parsing libraries on core java.
J2EE is framework which supports many other things like JSP/Servlet, messaging service, RMI, EJBs etc.
