Java editor

I am attempting to write a text file editor in JAVA and would like some help
with the next step .

The sort of functions that i am trying to do are:

• Compiler error translation
Online help topics/search
• Templates.
• Sample code
• Keyword colouring
• Bracket matching
• Indenting of code
• Program structure
• Variables listing
has anybody got code that i could use to get this moving along the right tracks!!
