    ITS organization is seeking a Java Performance Specialist. This
    individual will work w/a team of I/T Specialist on Unix & Windows
    distributed systems performance optimization & consulting engagements.
    As member of PMTSS performance management services team, will engage in
    a variety of activities-including performance analysis of JAVA-based
    applications, marketing of the team's services, sizing of opportunities
    & preparation of SOWs, leading the team in engagements on a rotating
    basis, & presenting to clients at both executive/technical levels.
    Ability to use JAVA profiling tools/Web application server performance
    monitoring & analysis tools is essential. Also expected to contribute
    to the enhancement of the PMTSS Services team suite of tools, scope of
    engagements, & service deliverables in your area of expertise. Major
    Field of Study: CS, Engineering, Math, or related. Required Skills:
    Performance analysis- Unix (Solaris, AIX, Linux, &/or HP-UX) & Window;
    JAVA profiling tools such as JProbe and Optimize; J2EE
    platform/standards & w/ enterprise-class JAVA software running;
    Performance analysis of IBM WebSphere&/or BEA Weblogic; Excellent
    analytical and problem solving skills. Professional give-back will
    include mentoring other team members. Highly Desirable Skills:
    Familiarity with relational databases & database tuning. Familiarity
    w/Java or C++ software development f/web applications. Familiarity
    w/JVM internals, including internals of Java bytecode and JVMPI, JVMDI,
    and JVMTI interfaces. 75% TRAVEL REQUIRED. All qualified applicants
