For some reason, javaw.exe seems to die occasionally when
running in a sandbox. Does anyone have any ideas as to why
this might happen?

My initial thought is that someone is catching and ignoring a
SecurityException, which then causes the application to exit in a way
you're not expecting because you didn't see the exception reported. Any
chance this is the case?
