    I'm having a problem getting a JFM project to run using Eclipse on my
    computer. It gives me the following error when I try to run a realized
    player:

    # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.4.2_07-b05 mixed mode)
    #
    # An error report file has been saved as hs_err_pid1824.log.
    # Please refer to the file for further information.
    #

    This is the log file:

    An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the
    VM.
    Unexpected Signal : EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) occurred at
    PC=0x650072
    Function=[Unknown.]
    Library=(N/A)

    NOTE: We are unable to locate the function name symbol for the error
    just occurred. Please refer to release documentation for possible
    reason and solutions.

    This is not just happening with eclipse - it happens when I run the app
    from the command line as well. Does anyone have any suggestions as to
    why I am getting these errors??

    that's a typical C error indicating a rogue pointer. Sounds like you
    have discovered a BUG in JMF.

    I upgraded to Eclipse 3.1 and J2SDK, SE v1.4.2_10 and it somehow fixed
    the problem.
