I'm pretty sure it runs afoul of discrimination law in the USA as well.

I believe the advertising would have to exclude the word "female"
before it would be discriminatory.

As years ago a guy applied to a hospital for a job as a nurse. No
gender mentioned in the ad. It has always been tradition that nurses
are women. So he sued the hospital and won. Or he was trying to get
into a nurse's school somewhere.

Although if a guy submits an a resume, the company is under no
obligation to hire the guy either.

If I wanted to hire 5 female musicians, and stated so in the ad, and
50 guys show up, no law says I have to hire the guys.

Of course it's a scam. You can tell by about two dozen problems with
their posting people were replying to. I think people replied to poke
fun at it, knowing it's not a real job offer and the discussion just
took off from there.

bank scams so let the scammers beware. I've even heard that if you're
