Keep getting "there is no web" error in VS.NET 2005

I have IIS 6 on a Windows 2003 box running with FP 2002 Extensions,
which are enabled.

I am trying to open an existing website called CrystalASP, which has
ASP files in it, but I'm trying to use an ASP.NET webform.

When I open up VS.NET 2005 and try to open the website up, it says
there is no web named "/CrystalASP" and won't go any further.

I'm trying to create some ASP.NET webforms on our intranet server and
it says there is no web named "/CrystalASP" even though there is a
virtual directory named that.

What am I missing?

Make sure it is defined as an application in the virtual directory.
Also make sure the .webinfo file has the correct URL in it. If all of
this is right then try deleting the vir dir and recreating it, also try
navigating to the proj file through the filesystem. Sometimes it can
be quite fastidious.

CrystalASP is defined as an application in that virtual directory, but I
can not find any .webinfo file anywhere on that server. What do I need
to have in it?
