Large Arrays of Strings

Hello,

I was wondering what the best data structure is to hold a large list of
strings?

Currently I am using the ArrayList, which seems to be terribly slow to add a
large number of strings.

Any help on this matter would be fantastic.

Hi,

Storing strings in array list will cause boxing and unboxing of strings.
I think it is better to keep those strings in simple string array.
