LeonardoSpectrum and Alteras LPM library

Michael Ruflin

Hi

I would like to test (= compile) a design that uses Alteras LPM library with
LeonardSpectrum. Simply using LPMs vhdl files does not work, Leo refuses to
compile them. Has someone managed to use LPM and Leonardo together?

Michael

ps: I'm a VHDL beginner and probably using wrong words...

Try compiling with Quartus.
It knows all about Altera libraries.
Leo makes no assumptions about vendor libraries.

Leo normally infers lpm components from plain code
when Altera is the target device.

To compile code prefitted with lpms, leo would need the
library sources files in the file list.

Note that a synthesis compile is more
of a final step than a test.

Good luck.
