Looking for API to draw a chart save it to gif or jepg

Hi I have data from apachestats. I would like to be able to generate
daily usage chart (TPS/sec mostly) and post it as a web page. Is there
java libraries/API which can take text file with colomns of data, draw
a chart and save it in the gif file. I don't want to use applet as
this usage picture has to be sent by email (as a part of HTML
formatted page).
