I've had a website built for me recently by a developer who uses a Mac
and claims to know little to nothing about Windows. What I'm looking
for is an easy-to-use html editor to make simple changes to text within
my website. The site is in two languages - English and Japanese.
Ideally I'd like one program that can handle both with an English
interface. The files for the site are .php. My computer runs WindowsXP
and I have very little experience building websites.

All the best from Japan and thank you very much for your time.

    Konichi wa

Try jEdit.org. It's a free text editor that runs on most operating
systems, including Windows. The interface is in English and it can handle
    Japanese or English.
