1. Maximo Infrastructure Specialist
Operational Areas
1. Assist with establishing new environments (e.g. QA environment;
sandbox);
2. Assist with refreshing existing environments (e.g. production copy
back to test);
3. Utilize Maximo 7 Migration Manager to promote changes among
environments
4. Apply changes to the configuration and/or code (e.g. applies hot
fixes, changes to master configuration data, etc);
5. Manage access to non-production environments;
6. Establish or changes/resets data sets (e.g. test data, sandbox
data, etc);
7. Resolve hardware/software problems that arise during deployment or
support, coordinating with other infrastructure areas as needed (e.g.
DBA, server teams, etc.); and
8. Follow established departmental SOPs to maintain appropriate
validated state, including Problem Management, Change Management tools
(Remedy).
Development Areas
1. Assist with test development, test execution, and SOPs/
documentation (SME for content);
2. Assist with training development for IT support roles (SME for
content);
3. Resolve hardware/software problems that arise during testing and
coordinating with other infrastructure areas as needed (e.g. DBA,
server teams, etc.);
4. Follow established project SOPs related to Software Engineering &
Maintenance
2. Maximo Data Specialist:
We have some SQL scripts that were designed to migrate data into
Maximo from 3 systems being replaced. We are replacing three systems
from Maximo.
1. Work with customer to determine the decisions needed for 11 open
questions that were identified when performing the old-to-new data-
mapping documentation.
2. Confirm that the SQL written to migrate the data is in synch with
the current configuration of Austin Energy's Maximo.
3. Make needed SQL modifications based on the 11 responses and based
on any out-of-synchs between the coded scripts and AE's current
Maximo.
4. Make corresponding changes to the Data Mapping Design Specification
based on SQL modifications needed.
4. Perform multiple dry-run executions of the data-conversion process
that has been designed.
3. Maximo Sr. Consultant:
Job Title : Maximo Sr. Consultant
Location : Austin, Texas
Skill Set :
Minimum 5 years of Maximo v6 or above configuration experience, with
at least 1 year of v7.
minimum 2 yrs Training development (course & materials) and delivery.
Ability to independently read, interpret, and efficiently execute on
provided functional requirements.
Team player. Utility and/or Public Sector Maximo experience a plus.
Must have Strong Maximo experience
