MDB to MDB Event Notification

J

John Schult

I have a scenario where multiple MessageDrivenBeans could be performing
an operation whereby if a newer message enters the queue and a new MDB
starts doing work, all the other MDBs should stop what they are doing.
In essence only the latest message in the JMS queue is valid.

For example, if MDB 1 is working on Job A and Job B is put into the
queue, MDB 2 (maybe) will start working on Job B. Job A is no longer
valid and MDB 1 should discontinue processing.

Is there an easy way for MDB A to be notified to stop processing?
