Membership provider question

Discussion in 'ASP .Net' started by Robert Dufour, May 4, 2007.

  1. Does anyone know where Icould find some sample code to extend this standard
    provider?
I just want to make it possible for an administrator of the site to assign a
    new password to a user.
Now if you want to change a password for a user other than yourself when
logged in, you have to either login as the user you want to change and then
hope that the email with the new password goes through. Otherwise the only
other way is to delete the user and recreate him-her and make sure you apply
all his old roles. A pain.
Maybe someone already did this and would be willing to share the code
    snippet. VB2005 would be preferred.

    Thanks for any help.
    Bob
