message passing over AMBA

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to implement a simple message passing protocol
over the AMBA bus that will encapsulate device-specific
commands/data and allow uniform communications on the
system bus - has anybody done something like this before?
what HW modules do I need to support this aside from
the AMBA modules?
