Migrating to .net

S

ShipHead

I have been a visual studio 6.0 user and have a great deal of code
I wish to port to .net Are the project files for visual c++ and visual
basic portable to .net?

TIA

I'll let someone else speak to the c++ apps, but for the vb ones, open your
vbp file up in the .NET IDE.

You still may want to rewrite the app from scratch, as the architectures are
completely different. You will not realize all the benefits of .NET until
you get a good redesign/rewrite.
