minimum requirements

hey all,
what would you say the minimum requirements would be to run an asp.net
application safe and securely? what could i get by with but safely and
securely? i'm thinking windows 2003 on a desktop machine, windows certificate
server...i guess this is kinda in between a software and hardware question.
