multiple mySQL connections

Hello,

I have a server in which multiple clients connect and frequently access
a mySQL database. I used the "DBPool" connection pooling library but
that seemed to have increased the memory overhead quite a bit with lots
of memory leaks.

Any suggestions on how this can be overcome?
