Need an unbound GridView-like control

I want to build a page that allows users to add, edit, and delete rows from
a table of data. The table needs to include dropdown lists, and should not
be bound to a data source. I tried building a custom web control, with all
the fields included in a row, but that has persistence problems.

Any ideas?
