Need fading image slideshow with thumbnails...

Discussion in 'HTML' started by Frank McMahon, Jan 27, 2005.

  1. Hello All,

I am looking for a slide show program to include in a photo website but
cannot seem to find exactly what I am looking for.

    The closest is this one:
    http://www.dwuser.com/flashslideshow/index.php

    - Simple scrolling side or bottom thumbnails
    - Thumbnails automatically generated

What I really want ALSO is

    - fade from picture to picture (this one above fades out and then in)

It could be a Flash extension or Dreamweaver add-on or HTML or a separate
    program
that creates the show. All I really want is the scrolling thumbs and smooth
fade from one pic to the next when a thumbnail is clicked. Something that is
fairly automated with an easy interface (no hand coding)

Programs I have seen have either had elaborate non-customized interfaces, or
just do a cut from picture to picture.

Any and all suggestions would be great!! Please post! :)

www.flashkit.com or buy swish (www.swishit.com I think) and make
exactly what you want for about $50.00 (haven't checked the price in a
    while)

The free and most simple routes I've run into are:

    1. (IE) transition effects to all web pages involved.

    2. Can use refresh tags, each linking to next, to make loop, about a 12
    second delay.

    3. Can use 5pages, all with < and > buttons, with urls, to make loop

    4. Can use iframe page, with all pics in seperate htm files, and all
refreshing to the same iframe, to make loop.
