.NET Framework which Service Pack

H

Running windows update gives me both these options:
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 Service Pack 3, English Version

Should I go strait for 1.1?

Hi hansiman:

Since it sounds as if you have both versions installed, then ideally
you'd apply the service packs for both. Some applications out there
might require v 1.0 of the framework, and they'd be able to take
advantage of the latest fixes in SP1.

Thought it was one Framework at different stages. Are you saying, I
have two instances on the Framework installed?

Yes, two different versions of the frameworks can install side by
side. Under Add / Remove programs you'll probably find two entries for
Microsoft .NET framework: v1.0.x and v1.1. It might be safe to remove
v1.0 if you don't have any applications that insist on running under
1.0.
