We are just moving into .net. One of the major things we want from .net is
ease of deployment. We, unfortunately, have multiple versions of what is a
very similar application. This is a deployment nightmare. What I would like
is to have a development server and then be able to deploy the same assembly
to all application in an automated manner. I do not want anything like
XCOPY. I would like something like zero deployment where I hit a button and
the assembly is sent to all 10 applications.
A little OT but what do you guys do about deploying changes to the
underlying SQL Server structure. E.g. I add a column to a table and have to
deploy it to 10 different SQL servers.
What are my options?
Regards, Chris.
